Boxtruck crashes and leaves present at the 11foot8 bridge
This afternoon an Enterprise rental truck smashed into the 11foot8 bridge and left the entire roof draped over the crash beam. Police had to block the lane for a couple of hours until a crew arrived to clean up this mess (it’s Saturday afternoon after all). They had a little bit of trouble getting this “present” untangled from the structure. I really hope they saved it 🙂

At some point, you’d think the rental companies would add a page to their agreement form. An address, a map, and a nice, clear color picture of the bridge from the approaching direction, with a sentence that states “I promise I will NOT try to drive under this bridge,” and spaces for the driver to print his/her name, and sign and date the page.
But that would probably offend someone. And it might reduce the number of new videos. That would make me sad 🙂
Never mind.
Does insurance from the rental agency cover this?
